I was in San Diego for Valentine’s Day weekend and came to this spot that was recommended by a local. Since we aren’t from San Diego we didn’t realize how hard it would be to find parking but we did get street parking a few blocks down. I don’t want to say the place is bad because it isn’t. Food has good flavor and the servers are sweet. This place is very small and compact. We felt a little awkward with the seating and the very small tables. The plates they give you are huge so trying to fit everything on the table was a hassle. They do get really busy so seating might take a while. They actually sat us in the restaurant next door. I’m guessing they rent the place from the owners at night?? Overall this place was good but I don’t think I’ll be coming back on my next trip.

Buona Forchetta in South Park absolutely lived up to the hype. From the moment we walked in, the staff treated us so well and made us feel genuinely welcome. We ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo, and it did not disappoint. The sauce was rich, creamy, and packed with flavor, and adding the chicken was worth it a million times over. It was perfectly cooked and took an already great dish to another level. Beyond the food, the atmosphere is what really makes this place special. It has a warm, inviting vibe that makes you want to stay and enjoy every minute. Between the incredible service, amazing food, and beautiful atmosphere, this is an easy 10/10. I would absolutely recommend checking this place out, you'll come for the food, but you'll want to come back for the entire experience.

Great service, and amazing vibe. Disappointing food quality. Pizza was inconsistenty baked, with some parts undercooked. Ingredients were not the best either - canned porcini mushrooms (can tell by the vinegar taste), overspiced and overpowering salami. All the ingredients would fall off when trying to take a slice. Carbonara lacked its signature richness and creaminess that comes from egg yolks. Spritz was a touch too sweet. I wish the food quality would be on par with their atmosphere.

Always such a great spot! Great ambiance, amazing food, the staff is super sweet. So nice to sit outside and enjoy a slow lunch. Great spot for a family. We brought our 8 month old baby and everyone was so great with us. Nice options for gluten free for our nana. She was able to modify her pasta how she wanted and have the noodles cooked to her liking! The beet salad, Juna pizza and carbonara were super fresh and had great flavor. The salad was big enough to share! House white wine was very tasty.

We arrived 15 minutes early and the hostesses were not the friendliest and said we’d have to wait till our table was ready which I totally get but their delivery and tone was a bit snippy. We proceeded to ask to use the restrooms and they said yes… you’d think they’d give you directions but nope 👎🏼. A smile and support goes a long way. The location was cute and stylish. The waiter was dry and seemed snooty and matched the same energy as the hostesses without really showing interest in our visit. The food was delicious. The pizza base crust was so soft and almost as thin as a crepe which melted into your mouth so divinely. The pomegranate sparkling drink was yum just a bit too much sugar 30+ grams so I added water to soften the sweetness. We shared a spaghetti pasta with papas and some pizza. My spouse said the pasta was lacking flavor but I enjoyed it. I do plan to revisit to give it another chance in hopes that we get a more friendly experience.
